Phillip Lendil Wilson, 78, Russell County, KY (1942-2021)

Phillip Lendil Wilson, age 78, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Thursday, August 26 2021 at His residence.

He was an avid sportsman, Veteran of the United States Army and he worked for Key GMC in Cincinnati. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Military rites will be performed by the DAV Honor Guard.



He was born on Wednesday, November 25 1942, in Russell Springs, KY, the son of Elva Meece Wilson and Herbert Wilson, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Angela Gosser, spouse Larry V.; and Jennifer Wilson, of Russell Springs KY

1 Son: Darryl Wilson, of Russell Springs KY.

1 Brother: James Wilson, of Jamestown KY

Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. He attended Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired diesel mechanic. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Wilson.

He was an avid sportsman, Veteran of the United States Army and he worked for Key GMC in Cincinnati. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Military rites will be performed by the DAV Honor Guard.

Funeral services will be 3pmCT Sunday, August 29 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will begin at 1pmCT Sunday.

Interment will be in Rexroat Cemetery, Jamestown, KY. Officiating will be Bro. Stan Milby.

In memory gifts are requested to Hospice Of Lake Cumberland.

Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
