Bonnie Jean Tungate Collins, 61, Campbellsville, KY (1960-2021)

Bonnie Jean Tungate Collins of Campbellsville passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. She was 61 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Bro. Raymond Hollins. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Bonnie Jean Tungate Collins of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Earl "Buddy" Tungate and Fern Cox Tungate, was born March 19, 1960 in Marion County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of God's Friendship Chapel.

She was known as a fire cracker, but she loved her family unconditionally as well as her church. Bonnie was also a green thumb who was known for her talented cooking and Seamstress abilities.

Bonnie is survived by one son and one daughter: Veronica Clark and husband, George Bailey of Campbellsville and Christopher Collins and wife, Jessica of North Port, Florida; six grandchildren: Victoria, Kristen, Ariana, Jaeden, Alissa and Teyla; two great-grandchildren: Saydee Rose and Lyncoln Kreed; two brothers and one sister: Bucky Tungate, Boddy Lawson and Rhoda Followell; her companion, Mark Patty; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, "Bug" Billy Followell; two sisters and one brother: Donna Fern Marple, Betty Tungate and Danny Ray Tungate; and grandparents, Darlis and Viola Garrett Cox, and Enos and Rhoda Ellen Howell Tungate.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to the funeral expenses and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
