LWC Volleyball travels to Brescia Tuesday night

The (RV) Lindsey Wilson volleyball team returns to action on the road to face Brescia (KY) at 6pmCT.

The Blue Raiders (3-1, 0-0 MSC) are heading into this matchup after a successful weekend at the Vette City Classic. Lindsey Wilson swept three of their opponents, which included Loyola (LA), IU Southeast (IN), and Reinhardt (GA) who is receiving votes in the national poll.


Johanna Alcantara ignited the offense this weekend as she produced 46 kills and 3.5 kills per set. Camryn Rich recorded 127 assists, while Lauren Larzelere accumulated 4.2 digs per set during the weekend.

Brescia (0-4, 0-0 RSC) is looking for their first win of the season. The Bearcats offense is led by Joie Porter who recorded 19 kills during the Vette City Classic. Brittney Just recorded 43 assists and 4.3 assists per set. Defensively, Shealyn Riggs leads the Bearcats with 24 digs.

Tuesday evening marks the 26th meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Bearcats. The last meeting resulted in a four-set win for the Blue Raiders on Oct. 12, 2019. Lindsey Wilson leads the all-time series 16-9.
