Jessie Douglas Clark, 81, Campbellsville, KY (1939-2021)

Jessie Douglas Clark of Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. He was 81 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Monday, August 23, 2021, Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Jessie Douglas Clark, son of the late Roy Hobert Clark and Mary Haggie Gribbins Clark, was born December 1, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where he was a custodian for twenty-five years.

He was known to be a hard worker, having been employed at Fruit of the Loom, Chappell's Dairy, Walmart and Fleetwood.

Doug was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.

He united in marriage to Diane Bright Clark February 26, 1959 and she preceded him in death July 15, 2015.

He is survived by two sons and three daughters: Jeff Clark and wife, Sherry, Mark Clark and wife, Laura, Teresa Ralls and Karen Mardis and husband, Gary of Campbellsville and Kathy Clark of Bowling Green; eleven grandchildren: Jeremy Clark, Lydia Clark Corey and husband, Gill, Shayla Clark, Scott Seaborne and wife, Shaina, Casey Seaborne and wife, Allie, Jessica Seaborne, Rachel Reynolds and husband, Tyler, Chad Payton and wife, Nicole, Matt Payton and wife, Whitney, Mason Mardis and wife, Erica and Sasha Jones and husband, Justin; eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Buford Clark of Macon, Georgia and Laverne Sapp of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Leslie Clark, Gordon Clark, Gladys Franklin and Beulah Pyles.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Gideon Bibles or Salem Baptist Church Building Fund and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
