Betty Jean Seals, 60, Campbellsville, KY (1960-2021)

Mrs. Betty Jean Seals of Campbellsville passed away on Thursday, August 5th, 2021, at Vanderbilt Health in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 60 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Auberry Funeral Home, 503 East Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow at Tallow Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is requested on Monday, August 9, 2021, from 5pmET until 8pmET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.


Mrs. Betty Jean Seals, daughter of the late Bennie Garrett and Lois Gribbins Garrett, was born August 16th, 1960, in Taylor County and departed this life peacefully on Thursday, August 5th, 2021, at Vanderbilt Health in Nashville, Tennessee.

She professed her faith in Christ and was of Baptist faith.

Mrs. Betty was a dedicated schoolteacher for 28 years at Lake Cumberland Head Start of Taylor County. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She united in marriage to James Seals on January 25th, 1974, who survives.

Survived by three daughters: Mary Ann Gunter and her husband, Jessie of Campbellsville; Melissa Kinser and husband Chris of Campbellsville; and Brittany Seals of Campbellsville.

One son: James Seals, Jr., of Campbellsville.

Twelve grandchildren: Bradley Pittman and his wife, Amberly, and Nathaniel Pittman of Merrimac Community; Nicholas Pittman of Acton Community; Bethany Gunter, Jessica Gunter, and Marissa Gunter of Taylor County; Madison Kinser, Grant Kinser, Jaxon Garrett, Aliyah Garrett, and Gage Seals of Campbellsville.

Five great-grandchildren: Eli Pittman, Lily Pittman, and Sophia Pittman, of Merrimac Community; AnnLynn Berry and Kara Berry of Taylor County.

Three sisters: Connie & George Gribbins, Evelyn and Bobby Cox, and Josephine and Roy Newton of Campbellsville.

Two brothers: Stanley Garrett of Merrimac Community and Junior and Carol Garrett of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Betty is preceded in death by two brother and three sisters: David Garrett, Hanley Garrett, Juanita Cox, Barbara Tungate, and Jeanette Clements.

Pallbearers: Grant Kinser, Bradley Pittman, Jesse Seals, Roger Dale Seals, Roy Newton, and George Gribbins, Jr.
