Elizabeth Lynn Jones, 86, Green Co., KY (1935-2021)

Elizabeth Lynn Edwards Jones passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Bluegrass Way Senior Living Center in Campbellsville, KY. She was 86 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Dr. Brad Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in Green County Memory Garden in the Summersville Community of Green County.

Visitation is requested from 10amCT until the funeral hour on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.


Elizabeth Lynn Edwards Jones was born July 31, 1935, in Green County KY to the late Woodrow Lynn Edwards, who passed away October 9, 1972, and Dorothy Maxine Larimore Edwards, who passed away June 15, 2014. She departed this life on her birthday, Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Bluegrass Way Senior Living Center in Campbellsville, KY, having attained the age of eighty-six years.

Elizabeth had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church. Her family and friends were always foremost in her heart. She was a member of the Rod Lowe Post 124 American Legion Auxiliary Greensburg. She enjoyed genealogy. The family would like to give a "special thank you" to Bluegrass Way Senior Living , DaVita Taylor County Dialysis Center and Amedysis Home Health. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death in 1981 by her husband Leo H. Jones, JR. She is also preceded in death by one brother: J.W Bill Edwards, one sister: Jean Carole Edwards Ennis, one nephew: Robert Edwards.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Jim Donlon of Danville, KY, one grandson: Benjamin Donlon and his wife Courtney of Louisville, KY, one granddaughter: Emily Donlon of Baltimore, Maryland, two sisters-in-law: Anne Edwards of Greensburg, KY and Patricia Jones of Middletown, KY and one brother-in-law: Tony Ennis of Hodgenville, KY. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and their spouses: Beverly and David Shuffett, Bill and Ann Edwards, John and Robyn Edwards, Mary Beth and Joel Mobley, Dee Anne and Sam Sanders, Ellen and Stan Dawson, plus numerous great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to The American Cancer Society. These can be made at the funeral home.
