Wayne Raney, Casey County, KY (1949-2021) Wayne Raney, of Casey County, KY departed from this life on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at age 72. Wayne's life was enriched by friends and staff while he attended "Just Family" in Liberty for eighteen years. His integrity and work ethic was apparent daily in his perfectionist world. His memory was unbelievable. Wayne brought a smile to the room by just walking in. He was never afraid to share his opinion or love for his family and friends. Wayne was kindhearted, had an incredible sense of humor, was an avid UK fan, and was so loved by all who knew him. He was able to teach his family members more about life than life itself. As he closed his eyes to rest in peace, we were able to remind Wayne how much we loved him. We are so glad God chose us to be his family. Born on July 7, 1949, in Boyle County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Edgar and Mae Coleman Raney. He is survived by three sisters - Beverly (Winford) Blair of Columbia, Lisa (T.Y.) Fisher of Danville, and Tammy (Steve) Dunn of Lexington; a brother, Brent (Melody) Raney of Nancy; five nephews, four nieces, eight great-nieces, five great-nephews, and one great-great nephew. By Wayne's request, a graveside service will be held 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Raney, Brandon Raney, T.Y. Fisher, Chris Blair, Steve Dunn, and Winford Blair. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery c/o Pam Morgan at 2056 Calvary Ridge Road, Yosemite, KY 42566. McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. This story was posted on 2021-07-26 21:53:11
