Harry Allen Kimbler, 74, Jamestown, KY (1946-2021) Harry Allen Kimbler of Jamestown passed away on July 24, 2021. He was 74 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pmCT on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Doug Baldwin, Bro. Devin Wilson, and Bro. Willard Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Wheat Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 10amCT on Wednesday at Bernard Funeral Home, until time for services. Harry Allen Kimbler was born on September 9, 1946, to Edgar and Ruby Roy Kimbler, both deceased. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Delaine Miller Kimbler; two children, Brent (Deana) Kimbler and Tanaya (Mark) McQueary; three grandchildren, Devin (Kristina) Wilson, Brett Kimbler and Mallie McQueary. He has three deceased brothers, Jack Kimbler, Bobby Kimbler and Joe Kimbler; and one deceased brother-in-law, Don Cook. Harry is also survived by two sisters, Faye (Al) Simpson, of Louisville, and Delcia Cook, of Louisville; three sisters-in-law, Lila Kimbler, of Edmon, Oklahoma, Jewel Kimbler, of Columbia, and Gladys Kimbler, of Shepherdsville; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Miller, of Jamestown; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Harry loved and sang gospel music for many years with various groups, such as The Deliverance Quartet, The Rock of Ages Quartet, The Blakey Quartet and Pure Gospel. He was a member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church. He was a former farmer, school bus driver and served as a Russell County School Board member. He was an organ (liver) recipient in 2005 and was blessed with nearly 16 years of extended life. Pallbearers will be Brett Kimbler, Devin Wilson, Sean Cook, Doug Kimbler, Nick Kimbler, and Sam Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be David Hadley, Mark Kimbler, Rodney Simpson, Greg Kimber, Brad Kimbler, Scott Cooper, Scott Curry, Phil Miller, and Tim Baker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wheat Cemetery Fund, c/o Elizabeth Miller, 4307 N. Hwy 55, Jamestown, KY 42629; or to Freedom Cemetery Fund, c/o Valerie Taylor, 371 Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, KY 42642.
