Ephraim Z. Burkholder, 61, Liberty, KY (1960-2021)

Ephraim Z. Burkholder of Liberty passed away on July 24, 2021, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was 61 years old.

Funeral services will be at 9:30amET on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the Cedar Hill Mennonite Church, with burial to follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 2pmET to 4pmET and from 6pmET to 8pmET at 9357 KY 501 South, Liberty, KY.


Ephraim was born March 24, 1960 in Union Co., PA, a son of Amos Burkholder and the late Anna Zimmerman Burkholder.

He is survived by his wife, Ada H. Burkholder; children, Martha (and Raymond) Shirk, Paul (and Marian) Burkholder, James (and Laura) Burkholder, Elizabeth (and Wayne) Brubaker, Anna (and Jonathan) Shirk, and Isaac Burkholder; 32 grandchildren; his father, Amos Burkholder; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers.

He was preceded in death by his mother: 1 sister; and 2 grandchildren.
