Adam Dyson, 35, Jamestown, KY (1985-2021)

Adam Dyson of Jamestown passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Russell County Hospital. He was 35 years old.

A religious service will be held at 6pmCT on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY, with John Abner officiating. Interment will follow at Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown, KY.

Friends may visit on Saturday from 3:30pmCT to 6pmCT at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.


Adam was born in Somerset, KY on December 13, 1985, a son of Karen (Kempf) and John M. Dyson, of Jamestown, KY.

He was the Activity Director at Fair Oaks Nursing Home Jamestown, KY.

Adam is survived by:
  • His wife, Megan (Blakey) Dyson, of Jamestown, KY
  • A son, Emmett James Dyson, of Jamestown, KY;
  • Parents John and Karen Dyson, of Jamestown, KY
  • Father- and mother-in-law, Jr. and Deidre Blakey, of Jamestown, KY
  • Two sisters, Kindra, wife of John Abner, of Mount Dora, FL; Steffani, wife of Cliff Miller, of Richmond, KY;
  • Sister-in-law Katlin wife of Steven Dowell, of Lexington, KY
  • Nieces and nephews Isabella Abner, Gabriella Abner, Callie Miller, Cole Miller and Drake Dowell
  • A host of aunts, uncles, and cousins
Adam is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Gil and Mickey Kempf, paternal grandparents, Richard and Leona P. Dyson as well as his grandparent in laws L.G. and Reba Blakey and James David Gaskin.

Pallbearers: Derek Stephens, Luke Stephens, Adam Stille, Jason Kempf, Steven Dowell, Cody Fenske, Dustin Baird, Cliff Miller, Tim Wade, Dylan Smith, David Kelch and Sam Amirante.

The family requests memorial donations to the Emmett James Dyson future fund. Donations can be made at the funeral home.
