William Ray Corbin, 69, Adair Co., KY native (1952-2021) William Ray Corbin passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation after a long illness due to a stroke. He was 69 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for NoonCT on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Brother Carroll Egnew and Brother Steven Corbin officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pmCT to 8pmCT on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, and will continue on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 8amCT until service time at Bernard Funeral Home. Ray was born March 19, 1952, in Adair County, to the late Ray K. Corbin and Lela Roberts. He was a carpenter. Ray loved his truck and enjoyed going 4-wheeling and playing in the mud. He was a member of Russell Springs Christian Church and loved attending when able. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Janet Peters Corbin, whom he wed on May 12, 1973; two brothers; Douglas Corbin of Jamestown and Michael Corbin of Glasgow; a sister; Ilene Coomer of Russell Springs; four brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his step-mother, Dorothy Roberts Corbin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Russell Springs Christian Church, PO Box 1207, Russell Springs, KY 42642.
