Derrick Bruce Ellett, 37, Greensburg, KY (1983-2021)

Derrick Bruce Ellett of Greensburg passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 37 years old.

Graveside services for Derrick Bruce Ellett will be conducted at NoonCT on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the New Salem Cemetery, with Bro. Shawn Coffey officiating.


Derrick Bruce Ellett of Greensburg, Kentucky, born on Sunday, July 17, 1983 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, Kentucky.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a self-employed handyman.

Survived by his parents: Delson Jones and Cymblene Janes Jones of Greensburg; his father: Dorval Fredrick Ellett of Green County; four daughters and a son: Mellissa Ellett, Brooklyn Ellett both of Hardyville, Cierra Ellett of Munfordville, Cymber Ellett, and Briar Ellett both of Greensburg; a grandmother: Gladys Derring of Pennsylvania; two brothers and four sisters: Cybele Pruitt of Green County, Jamison Wright of Taylor County, Sierra Ellett, Alex Ellett both of Greensburg, Ashley Ellett, and Melissa Ellett both of Pennsylvania; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
