State Budget 2004-2006: Water projects in; Green River Resort isn't
"We have one of the richest resources in the state of Kentucky in Green River Lake," 51st District Kentucky (Adair, Taylor) Representative Russ Mobley (R. Campbellsville) says. "When the rest of the world is having water problems, we won't." Rep. Russ Mobley will be in the Annex Basement, Tuesday, March 15, 10:00 A.M, CST, to discuss items that were included in the 2004-2006 State Budget for Adair County. Everyone is invited. Adair County will receive $1.5 million for treatment plant The Adair County Water District will receive $1,500,000 for a water treatment plant in the 2004-2006 State Budget, Representative Mobley says. City will get $400,00 for water and sewer And, he says, $400,00 is earmarked for water and sewer projects for the City of Columbia. "Nothing was allocated because we're depending on private developers to build the lodge and golf course," Representative Mobley (R. Campbellsville) says. Negotiations for the development is underway, he says. Already, negotiations are underway with the Army Corps of Engineers to lease land from the Corps for the lodge and golf course sites. And, Rep. Mobley says, private groups have already expressed interest in the projects. He expects the project to happen. To contact Rep. Mobley:
