New daily CM feature takes you to this day in years past Ten years ago today, June 16, in 2011, Columbia Magazine featured a happy hen photo in her pink nest by Shelby Garmon. She wrote, "Pretty in pink. This is Ella. Family scale chicken raising is on the rise in Adair County, for fun and food. There's nothing quite like an omelet made with brown, farm fresh eggs laid of backyard chickens - or by layers in a palatial hen house with pink nest boxes like these." This day ten years ago also provided one of the most puzzling pictures of the Adair County Public Square fountain corner in memory.
