Columbia businessman sold Better Burgers for 46 years
Richard Wethington, 76, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at 10:52 a.m., at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Gllasgow, KY.

Graveside services will be Saturday, March 5, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at Columbia Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Oakley and Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial is to follow. Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.


Mr. Wethington was the son of the late Robert Lee and Jennie Mat Jones Wethington, a member of Columbia Baptist Church, and was well known for selling Better Burgers in downtown Columbia, KY, for 46 years.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Daisy Wethington Lloyd and Bobbie Wethington Reed.

Survivors include the following:
  • His wife of 56 years: Montra Corbin Wethington, Columbia, KY
  • And 13 nieces and nephews, 18 great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Christian Life Center of Columbia Baptist Church, and these may be left at the funeral home.
