Marlene Rodgers Tucker, 73, Russell County, KY Marlene Rodgers Tucker, of Russell Springs, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, at her home. She was 73 years of age. Marlene was born on September 29, 1947, in Danville, only child born to the late Ora and Jessie Henson Rodgers. She married Elvis Tucker on November 4, 1967. They shared 50 years together, with Marlene as the perfect help mate to Bro. Elvis, as a pastor's wife and working side by side on the family farm. She was a homemaker who loved to travel. Marlene was a member of Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Matthew Tucker (and Emily Russell), of Russell Springs, and Lynette Whittle, of Russell Springs; and her grandchildren, Jacob Dick (and Julie), of Beaumont, Texas, and Justin Tucker and Jordan Tucker, both of Columbia. Along with her parents, Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Elvis Tucker, who passed away January 27, 2017. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Donald Wilson and Bro. Troy Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Monday, May 17, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Pine Grove Cemetery Fund, 5540 South Highway 76, Russell Springs, KY 42642 or to the Gideons International.
