James A. Compton, 62, Milltown, KY James A. Compton, 62, Milltown, KY, died Wednesday, February 16, at 1:30 p.m., at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY, after an illness. The funeral service will be Friday, February 18, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Stanton and Bro. Wendell Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, at Grissom Funeral Home. He was a son of the late Edgar and Fannie Keltner Compton, a member of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and was retired from International paper in Chicago. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Compton, and a brother, Harold Compton. He is survived by the following:
