Carldo Wilson, 81, Russell County, KY (1939-2021) Carldo Wilson, age 81, of Russell Springs, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2021 at Russell County Hospital. Born on October 30, 1939, in Russell County, he was a son of the late Addie K. "Johnny" and Doris Evelyn Womack Wilson. Carldo was self-employed and worked for many years renting mobile homes. He was an US Army veteran of the Korean War. Carldo recently accepted Christ as his Savior. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Janice Garner Wilson, of Russell Springs, whom he wed on July 2, 1964; son, Mark Wilson, of Russell Springs; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Jeric DeVore and Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Springs City Cemetery with military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Sunday, at Bernard Funeral Home. Pallbearers for Carldo will be Walter Peatross, Mike Russell, David McGowan, Charles M. Smith, Jeff Kerns, Keith Kerns, and Wes Bottom. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Morrison, Jeff Womack, and Pete Lee. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required.
