Pearl Coomer Johnson, 82

Pearl Coomer Johnson, 82, Louisville, KY, formerly of Adair County, passed away Monday, February 7, 2005, at Audubon Regional Medical Center in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be Thursday, February 10, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., CST, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Lonny Karnes and Bro. Darrell Karnes the officiating clergy.

She was the daughter of the late William and Nannie Frances Polston.

She was the widow of Vanis Ray Coomer, who preceded her in death on August 28, 1967. She later married Hardy Lester Johnson, who preceded her in death on May 10, 2002.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Rebecca Crawhorn, Louisville, KY
  • Five sons: Donald Coomer, Columbia, KY; Johnnie Coomer, Upton, KY; Kirby Coomer, Columbia, KY; Tony Coomer, Columbia, KY; and Jerry Coomer, Louisville, KY
  • One sister: Louella Tally, Louisville, KY
  • And 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends survives.
Mrs. Coomer was a member of Russell Heights Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Interment will be in Fudge Cemetery at Breeding.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
