By Kyrin Mayfield

The No. 2 Lindsey Wilson softball team heads to McKenzie, TN, to face Bethel (TN) in the Blue Raiders' final Mid-South Conference series of the regular season. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 3pmCT, while Sunday's pair of games will start at 1pmCT.

Live video and live stats will be available. Please view the Bethel Fan Attendance Policy for attendance information.

Lindsey Wilson (33-3, 25-3 MSC) can clinch at least a share of the MSC regular season title with two wins this weekend. The Blue Raiders come into this matchup after taking three out of four games in the series against No. 13 Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) last Sunday and Monday.

Lindsey Wilson leads the MSC in batting average (.338), slugging percentage (.520), runs per game (6.9), hits per game (9.4), and home runs per game (1.1). Additionally, the Blue Raiders are second in ERA (2.02) and opponent batting average (.205).

Annabelle Ramirez (22-2) tossed her second no-hitter of the season against the Lions last Sunday. She is one of the top pitchers in the nation with the second-most wins (22), fourth-lowest opponent batting average (.125), and fourth-fewest hits allowed per seven innings pitched (3) in the NAIA. Additionally, she strikes out more batters in each game (12.9) than any other pitcher in the country.

Makea-Al Kaluau is the most dangerous hitter in Lindsey Wilson's lineup. She sits at the top of the team in batting average (.338), runs (33), RBIs (49), doubles (12), home runs (14), and slugging percentage (.885). Her 14 home runs lead the nation along with 108 total bases.

Bethel (20-10, 14-10 MSC) is currently fifth in the conference standings and recently swept Martin Methodist (Tenn.) in a doubleheader on April 6.

The Wildcats also boast a powerful offense led by Melanie Alexander. She ranks second in slugging percentage (.969), third in hits per game (1.8), third in batting average (.557) and fourth in total bases per game (3.1) in the NAIA. As a team, Bethel records 9.3 hits per game, second-most in the MSC, and leads the conference with 1.9 doubles in each contest.

Billie Douglas is the team's ace with a 1.48 ERA and a .184 opponent batting average. She also strikes out the fifth-most batters per seven innings in the MSC at 6.8.

Lindsey Wilson leads the all-time series against Bethel 4-0 and has outscored the Wildcats 34-9. The two programs last met on Feb. 26, 2019, when the Blue Raiders swept a doubleheader on the road.
