ACJE: Fiscal Court working to help Sheriff Brockman By Gale Cowan Adair County Judge Executive I agree with Vickie that the Sheriff and his staff are doing an outstanding job. The Fiscal Court had planned to give Sheriff Brockman the money he requested but that request was stopped in Frankfort when they failed to approve our budget amendment to do so. Pursuant to KRS 64.710 the Fiscal Court cannot give the Sheriff's Office a lump sum of money. They can, however, pay for specific invoices if the sheriff presents them to the fiscal court for payment or reimbursement. I am still working with Sheriff Brockman to assist him any way I can legally do so. This story was posted on 2021-03-15 08:11:31
