On January 13, 2005, around 10:22 p.m., the Columbia Kentucky State Police received a call from Tina Brown who lives eight miles west of Liberty on KY 1547.

She advised that an unknown male had broken into her home and held her family hostage for about 30 minutes.

He was armed with a pistol and asking for money and drugs.

The KSP report said that the unknown male left the home on foot and did not harm the family. He was described as a male between 6'0 and 6'4", possibly a Hispanic, or white male with a dark tan.

The State Police asks that anyone with information please contact them at 270-384-4796 or 1-800-222-5555.
