Desten Smith, 66, Campbellsville, KY (1955-2021)

Desten Smith of Campbellsville passed away on March 5, 2021. He was 66 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Bro. Jim Collison, III and Bro. Larry Lemon. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

A walk-through visitation will be held from 5pmET until 8pmET on Monday, March 8, following social distancing guidelines. Masks are required, and food is not allowed to be brought in during public visitation.



Desten Smith, son of the late Owsley Smith and Pauline O'Banion Smith, was born January 4, 1955 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

Desten was owner and operator of Smith Cleaning Service.

He was a loving husband and father who cared deeply for his family. Desten enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and was famous for riding around in his golf cart and racing with neighbors on their Exmark mowers.

He united in marriage to Marilyn Lewis July 7, 1989.

Besides his wife, Marilyn Smith he is survived by six children: Casey Smith and wife, Bethany, Travis Smith and wife, Ashley, Levi Smith and wife, Laura, Clint Sapp and wife, Stefanie and Brett Sapp and wife, Gina of Campbellsville and Brittany Sargent and husband, Jeremy of Nashville, Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren: Maddox Smith, Kinley Smith, Caroline Smith, Rayna Taylor, Easton Smith, Braxton Smith, Brayden Smith, Luke Sargent, Noah Sargent, Aubrey Sapp, Owen Sapp, Drew Sapp, and Blake Sapp; a special friend, Trevor Lasley; several cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Gideon Memorial Bibles and made be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
