Deborah Rebecca (Debbie) Russell, 50, Jamestown, KY Deborah Rebecca 'Debbie' Russell, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was 50 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Bro. Scott Russell, whom she married on February 28, 1998, in LaGrange, Georgia; their children; Abby Russell and Ben Russell, of Jamestown; her brother, Matthew "Matt" Doster (and April), of Bethlehem, Georgia; and her Uncle Dick Joyner (and Peggy), of Macon, Georgia. Debbie was born on December 4, 1970, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, daughter of the late Larry and Becky Doster. She received her bachelor's degree in Education from LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia. Debbie taught elementary education for 16 years and head start for two years. She prayed for a chance to teach and inspire the arts to children and was blessed with the appointment of Creative Arts Director of Artworks Program www.Artworksrc.org of Russell County. Debbie cherished every moment of the four years she was given in her endeavor. She orchestrated the first RC Celebrates Christmas On the Square, in Jamestown, two Christmases ago. Due to COVID restrictions and for safety reasons, private services for the immediate family will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Jamestown First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Jamestown City Cemetery. A Memorial Service for the community will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Jamestown First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 308, Jamestown, KY 42629. Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
