Would longer deer hunting season cut accidents?

We've had a suggestion that because of all the deer accidents on roadways in and around Adair County that "something has to be done".

Larry Smith, "Live at Five with Lar on the Air" on WHVE radio, says, "I'll bet if you asked the officials who have to respond to these accidents they'd say, "open it up, extend deer season, get the population under control."

What do you think?

We'd like your comments on this subjects.

Do you agree with Lar? Is extending deer season the answer?

Or do you think he's way off base and have another suggestion?
