Jean Button, 83, Campbellsville, KY (1937-2021)

Jean Button of Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. He was 83 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amET on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Raymond Atwood. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Friday, February 26, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Jean Button, daughter of the late Chester Ray Morris and Nellie Jones Morris, was born July 29, 1937 in Marion County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church.

Jean was a retired OR Surgical Tech with Taylor Regional Hospital for thirty years and was a bus monitor with Campbellsville Independent School System for fifteen years.

Jean enjoyed fishing, going to stock car races, watching Westerns and The Price is Right. She also loved spending time with her family and her time spent being a bus monitor.

She united in marriage to James Davidson and he preceded her in death. She later united in marriage to Gerald G. Button October 1, 1970 and he preceded her in death March 17, 1988.

Jean is survived by one son and one daughter: Lois Campbell and husband, James of Campbellsville and Russell Martin of Hodgenville; one step-son, Charles Anthony Button; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Robert Morris and wife, Carol of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Carlis Davidson February 6, 2012 and James Davidson, Jr. in 1999 and one brother, Raymond Morris in infancy.
