Two from Knifley, KY, injured in three-vehicle accident


Rainslick road a factor in KY 70 mishap

Jacobo C. Morales, 25, and Guadelupe Morales, 19, , a passenger, were treated and released at Casey County Hospital, following a three-car accident Friday, January 7, at 12:00 p.m.

Jacobo and Guadelupe Morales are from Knifley, KY. The accident occurred 5 miles west of Liberty on KY 70.


Jacobo Morales was driving east on KY 70 in a 1996 GMC, when he lost control in a curve on wet roadway and slid into the path of a 1994 Ranger driven by Dale High, 51, Bahama, NC.

Kenneth Patton, 45, Middleburg, KY, was traveling east on KY 70 in a 1996 Ford and struck the Dale High vehicle.

Both Dale High and Kenneth Patton were belted and neither was injured.

Jacobo Morales was wearing a seatbelt, but Guadelupe Morales was not.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. Mike Woodrum, Post 15, Kentucky State Police, Columbia, KY.
