Dantha Kay Bagby Whitman, 77, Green County, KY Dantha Kay Bagby Whitman of the Hudgins Community of Green County, daughter of the late Ray M. Bagby and Cleta Nell Blankenship Bagby, was born on Wednesday, January 19, 1944 in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. She was 77 years, 28 days of age. She was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church and co-owner and operator of the Whitman's Grocery & Supply. She was a survivor of the Greensburg Deposit Bank & Trust bank robbery back in 2007. Survived by her husband of 60 years, Don Wesley Whitman of Hudgins Community, having united in marriage on January 29, 1961. Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Sherry and Dale Powers Elizabethtown; three grandchildren: Keaton Ford of Larue County, Drew Powers, and Gaige Powers both of Elizabethtown; one great-grandchild; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: C.J. and Sharon Whitman of Hudgins; nieces and nephews: Jason and Melissa Whitman of Hudgins, and Jennifer and Matt Farmer of Hodgenville; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Whitman was also preceded in death by a daughter: Anita Sue "Suzy" Ford on November 17, 2017. The funeral services for Dantha Kay Bagby Whitman will be conducted at 1pmCT Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Bro. Kelvin Edwards officiating. A walk-through only visitation is requested after 11amCT. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Aetna Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o the funeral home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY 42743. PALLBEARERS: Drew Powers, Gaige Powers, Jason Whitman, Brian Scott, Danny Bibb, and C.J. Whitman.
