Crews worked overnight treating routes KYTC District 3 and District 8 road crews are both reporting this morning that roads are mainly wet at this time, as crews were out overnight on snow and ice duty, but motorists should expect icy spots. Air temperatures remain near or below freezing across the area, and are expected to continue to fall, which could cause conditions to deteriorate. Bridges and overpasses will freeze before the roadway. If motorists must be out, they should adjust driving behavior and use extra caution. KYTC District 8 is responsible for maintaining state highways in counties including Adair, Casey, Cumberland, and Russell. KYTC District 3 is responsible for counties including Metcalfe, Barren and Warren. This story was posted on 2021-02-11 07:42:53
