Christmas in Columbia involves groups like Rotary What began as the Chamber of Commerce holiday kickoff event has evolved over the years into a grand tradition that involves hundreds of people every December. Christmas in Columbia draws organizations and individuals from all over Adair and surrounding counties for a full day and evening of celebrating the beginning of the Christmas season. This year's Christmas in Columbia coverage is sponsored by: Adair County Judge Executive Jerry Vaughan and his staff; by Kendall and Terry Harvey of H & H Building Contractors; and by Anne Verlaine Purses and Accessories, AnneVerlaine.Com In addition to the regular announcements and events, this year we spotlight the Columbia Rotary Club. Each year they start the day off by serving up breakfast for the crowds from the kitchen of the Columbia Baptist Church. Members of the Rotary club are part of a diverse group of professional leaders working to address various community and international service needs and to promote peace and understanding throughout the world.
