KSP led drug roundup nets 14 arrests


Detective Scott Hammond arresting officer in operation
which involved KSP, City Police, Sheriff's Department, K-9, and DEA


Early Thursday morning, Thursday, December 16, 2004, at approximately 9:00 a.m, officers from Columbia State Police Post 15 conducted a drug roundup that has led to the arrest of 14 individuals in Columbia, KY.


Detective Scott Hammond of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, was the arresting officer.

Officers from the Columbia Police Department, Adair County Sheriff's Department, Kentucky State Police K-9, and the DEA assisted in the round-up.

During the roundup, several vehicles and other property were confiscated.

Those arrested, all with Columbia residences, and the charges against them are as follows:
  • Danny Taylor, B/M, 50, one count of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree (cocaine)
  • William David Brockman, W/M, 24, one count of trafficking in controlled substance second degree
  • Donnie Miller, B/M, 44, two counts of trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, second offense
  • Melissa Bateman, W/F, 26, one count of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, two counts of persistent felony offender
  • Vonda Bridgewater, B/F, 39, one count of trafficking in a controlled substance first degreee second offense
  • Jason Neat, W/M, 25, one count of trafficking in a controlled substance second degree
  • Candice Coffey, W/F, 21, one count of trafficking in a controlled substance second degree
  • Timmy Cook, W/M, 45, one count of trafficking in a marijuana second offense, 1 count of persistent felony offender
  • Finnis Burris, W/M, 60, one count of trafficking in controlled substance, second degree
  • Joseph Curry, W/M, 20, one count of trafficking in controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school
  • Anthony Bridgewater, B/M, 48, one count of trafficking in controlled substance first degree second offense and one count of persistent felony offender
  • Lisa Hughes, W/F, 33, one count of trafficking in controlled substance second degree
  • Marilyn Eason, W/F, 44, one count of trafficking in controlled substance first degree, one count of trafficking in controlled substance, second degree
  • Sarah Burton, W/F, 56, one count of trafficking in controlled substance second degree second offense
All suspects were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
