Orvis Ray Wheat, 86, Jamestown, KY (1934-2021)

Orvis Ray "O.R." Wheat of Jamestown passed away at 9:45 AM, Monday, January 25, 2021, peacefully, at his residence. He was 86 years old.

A religious service will be held at 2pmCT on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Stan Milby officiating.

Visitation is requested from NoonCT until 2pmCT on Thursday at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.

Orvis was born in Jamestown, Ky on December 25, 1934, a son of the late Enola (Blakey) and Harold R. Wheat.

He served in the U.S. Marines as a Pvt in the Korean War.

He worked as a Pipe Line Installer

He was the husband of Betty (Sullivan) Wheat.

Orvis is survived by a daughter, Lana, wife of Jack Maupin, of Mt. Joliet, TN.

Survived by two Sisters-in-law, Joan Wheat and Geneva Collins, two aunts, Irene Blakey and Evelyn Phelps. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold R. Wheat, Jr.
