Jimmy Dee Thurman, 79, Burkesville, KY (1941-2021)

Jimmy Dee Thurman of Burkesville passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Cumberland County Hospital. He was 79 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 1pmCT on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Dutch Creek Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born on June 30, 1941 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Paul and Beulah Murley Thurman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Jr. Thurman, Donnie Thurman, two sisters Hazel Day, Barbara Sue Thurman.

Survivors Include:
  • Two Sons- Stevie Thurman and Chris Norris both of Burkesville, KY
  • Seven Brothers- Ronnie Thurman(Cindy), Bobby Thurman(Tammy), Charles Thurman(Hettie), Wayne Thurman(Nora) and Timmy Thurman all of Burkesville, KY, Starr Thurman and Tommy Thurman(Glenda) both of Glasgow, KY
  • Two Sisters- Jewell Bryant(Austin) and Gayle Medlin(Richard) both of Burkesville, KY
  • Sister-in-law - Marcella Thurman of Glasgow, KY
  • 2 Grandchildren
  • 3 Great Grandchildren
  • A host of other relatives and friends
