Lillian Cathleen Trowbridge Sloan, 91, Greensburg, KY (1930-2021)

Lillian Cathleen Trowbridge Sloan of Greensburg passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. She was 91 years old.

The funeral services for Lillian Cathleen Trowbridge Sloan will be conducted at NoonCT on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Wayne Morgan officiating. Burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.

A walk-through only visitation is requested after 10amCT on Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.

Due to State mandates and Covid-19, please continue to practice social distancing and wear facial covering.



Lillian Cathleen Trowbridge Sloan of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Cecil Trowbridge and Ethel Mae Curry Trowbridge, was born on Sunday, January 19, 1930 in Green County.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also a retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. after 37 years of service.

She united in marriage to William Edward Sloan on January 15, 1949 who preceded her in death in 1963.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: William Michael and Patricia A. Sloan of Westview, Kentucky; a daughter: Shirley Ann Sloan of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Lisa Austin, Stephanie Raymer, Michael Sloan all of Louisville, Nora Canon of Calvert City, and Tammy Lancaster of Greensburg; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia McCubbins of Summersville and Dorothy Coomer of Jamestown; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
