Naomi Cox, 88, Campbellsville, KY (1932-2021)

Naomi Cox of Campbellsville passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. She was 88 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amET on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Bro. Colin McDaniel. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Naomi Cox of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ova Wise and Della Woodrum Wise, was born September 23, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ and was a founding member of Farmers Chapel First Church of God.

She was a cook at Taylor County Schools for over twenty years.

Naomi loved to cook for her family and enjoyed Saturday morning breakfast with her boys and Sunday dinners with her kids and grandkids.

She united in marriage to Wallace Cox December 22, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2005.

She is survived by five sons and four daughters: Connie Arnold and husband, Jeff, Rodger Cox and wife, Elizabeth, Mitchell Cox and wife, Cindy, Garry Cox and wife, Kay, Barbara Gribbins and husband, Greg, and Cheryl Sullivan and husband, Randy all of Campbellsville, Ricky Cox and wife, Connie of Elizabethtown, Nancy Cox of Lexington, and Donnie Cox and wife, Cheryl of London; twenty one grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and thirty six great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Calvin Wise and wife, Betty of Lebanon; one sister-in-law, Christine Wise; many other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Naomi was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Cox August 22, 2001; two children in infancy; two brothers and one sister: Haskel Wise, John Wise and Sarah Jane Cissell.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made through Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
