Two COVID-19 testing options now available at NCP By Easton Bryant, PharmD I love rolling out new products and services to our community. I really do. Maybe this shows I’m not much of a thrill seeker, but it’s almost a rush for me! Sometimes the opportunity to be considered makes perfect sense, sometimes it doesn’t, and sometimes it’s unclear. Ultimately, however, it simply comes down to this: Does it provide value to you, our community? We’ve had the opportunity and means to provide COVID-19 testing for several months now, but the timing hasn’t seemed right. For one thing, our local urgent clinic has done and continues to do an incredible job serving not only our community, but our region. What we’re realizing, though, is that the need for testing is a long-term thing and we want to serve and be an answer where we can. AD: Rapid tests with extremely accurate results We have two options now available for COVID-19 testing. Rapid tests via a nasopharyngeal swab can be scheduled via our website and yield extremely accurate results in 10 minutes. Saturday testing is available and our appointment-based model means zero wait time. All other pertinent info is addressed via that link. We are also providing a no-cost option at least through the month of May for those not in need of rapid results. We are participating as a collection site in partnership with eTrueNorth, a contractor of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, for this one. Results are available within 3-5 days and eligibility can be verified here for this nasal swab test. Regarding COVID-19 vaccines, we’re still waiting on them, but you can reserve yours on our site as well. We simply ask that you let us know if you’re able to receive yours before we contact you so that we can serve others as efficiently as possible when the time comes. Regarding COVID-19 and wellness, this month is a great time to start boosting your immune system if you haven’t already because all of our top-of-the-line supplements are 30% OFF! Get your customized recommendations here. We’re glad to field any questions at hello@northcenturypharmacy.com or 270.380.1230. Take care out there!
