Betty Nell Moran Compton, 84, Green Co., KY (1936-2021)

Mrs. Betty Nell Moran Compton of Green Co. passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021, at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. She was 84 years old.

Funeral services for Betty Nell Moran Compton will be held at NoonCT on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove of the Nolynn Association Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11amCT until NoonCT on Saturday at the funeral home.



Mrs. Betty Nell Moran Compton was born November 21, 1936 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Coys and Lela Christine Adkins Moran.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Friendship Separate Baptist Church in Louisville. She was a factory worker for General Electric and Fruit of the Loom. She was united in marriage to her husband Ernest Delbert Compton who precedes her in death. Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one son: Darrell Ray Compton; one sister: Angela Moran.

She is survived by one daughter-in-law: Sarah Compton; two grandchildren: Noah Matthew and Ally Nicole Compton, all of Louisville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: David and Patsy Moran, James Thomas and Sheila Moran; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Geraldine and William Milby, Eddie Mae and Ralph Lobb, Glenda and Larry Thompson and Christina and Nick Milby, all of Green County. Plus, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers: David Thompson, Keith Thompson, Tom Thompson, Ronnie Moran, Larry Thompson, Timmy Milby

Honorary Pallbearers: Noah Matthew Compton and Ally Compton

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Oak Grove of the Nolynn Association Cemetery Fund. These can be made at the funeral home.
