Mary Lou Reynolds Bryant, 44, dies in Alabama


Former Columbian dies from automobile accident injuries

Mary Lou Reynolds Bryant, 44, Monroeville, Alabama, died suddenly Thursday, December 2, 2004, in Brewton, Alabama, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

She is a former resident of Columbia, KY, and Murfreesboro, TN.


Mrs. Bryant's parents, Gayle and Ethel Reynolds, were the owners of the Columbia IGA Foodliner in Mark Twain Shopping Center on Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY, for many years. Their home was in the Bliss community of Adair County.

Mrs. Bryant will be remembered by many who shopped at the store, as she was employed by her parents in the family business.She is survived by her parents, who now live in Monroeville, Alabama.

She is further survived by her husband, Kevin Bryant, Monroeville, Alabama, and one daughter, Lilagayle Mathus Bryant, Monroeville, Alabama.

Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Excel Baptist church and was active in nursery work and in Children's Church.

She was a mental retardation director with Southwest Alabama Mental Health in Monroeville, Alabama.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 7, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at the Monroe Chapel Funeral Home 2252 HWY 84 West, Monroeville, Alabama. (251) 575-200.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, tonight, December 6, 2004.
