Carlie Barnett, 80, Columbia, KY (1940-2020) Carlie Barnett of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at his residence. He was 80 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with burial to follow in the Pellyton Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9amCT on Saturday at the funeral home. For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and everyone attending will be required to wear a mask or face covering. Born November 9, 1940, in Adair County he was the son of the late Henry Estill and Flossie Scott Barnett. Mr. Barnett was a former employee of Burton's Pawn Shop and enjoyed riding horses and driving the countryside on Sunday afternoons. Survivors include two daughters Shelia Ford (Mark) and Caroleen Todd (Patrick) both of Columbia; two grandsons Chris Kean (Cherish) of Russell Springs, KY and Nic Barnett of Columbia; two step grandchildren Jackson and Gracie Todd of both of Columbia, KY; three sisters Retha Burton of Campbellsville, KY, Lois Cook of Hamilton, OH, and Janet Knifley of Lexington, KY; two brothers Marshall Barnett (Valerie) of Columbia, KY and Clifford Barnett (Anna Ruth) of Louisville, KY and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Rose Woodrum and Shirley Roehrs and three brothers Arvil, William, and Earl D. Barnett.
