Christmas Eve Service (virtual) December 24, 2020 By Doug Beard The Columbia United Methodist Church invites everyone to join us for a virtual sacred time of worship as the family of God with traditional carols, readings from the Holy Scriptures, a Christmas message, and joining our voices in "Silent Night" by candlelight as we welcome the birth of the Messiah. Our annual tradition is to celebrate this service together as a "Community of Faith." This year, however, with the global pandemic, we feel this is the safest way to remember the birth of our Lord and with God's blessing, we will assemble again in 2021. If you would like to receive a candle to light during the service and a special Christmas message, along with the hymns we will be singing, you can stop by the back door of the Church during the following times to pick them up. December 23 - 1pm - 3pmCT December 24 - 1pm - 3pm The service will be presented December 24, 2020 at 7pmCT. You can view the program by logging onto Facebook and accessing the Columbia United Methodist Church site. "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger." This story was posted on 2020-12-14 10:41:45
