David Wilson, 76, Casey County, KY (1944-2020)

David C. Wilson, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in Danville, KY. He was 76.

He retired after several years from Arvin's Industries. He also formerly worked for Tarter's, Watson's, Osh Gosh, and Donnie Poff's sawmill. David attended the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, root digging, and playing cards.



Born March 26, 1944, in Casey County, KY, he was a son of the late Oscar and Virgie Walls Wilson.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Judith Kay Jones Wilson, whom he wed on February 2, 1974; sons, Steven (and Mandy) Wilson and Robert (and Lottie) Wilson, both of Liberty; daughters, Pamela (and Hershel) Murphy of Liberty and Virgie (and Nathan) Roy of Dunnville; 10 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Shoaf of Liberty; and brothers, Lester Wilson, Lloyd (and Josephine) Wilson, Garland (and Carol) Wilson, and Earl (and Brenda) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vernon Wilson; one grandchild; and 4 infant brothers and sisters.

Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral service will be private for immediate family members only. Burial will be held at the Poplar Springs Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to help the family offset funeral expenses.
