Darrell Lee Burton, 72, Edinburgh, IN (1948-2020) Darrell Lee Burton, 72 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana after a short illness. A private family service will be conducted by Reverend Danny Bailey on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. Calling will be on Sunday from 3pmET until 6pmET at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. He was born January 19, 1948 in Edinburgh. He was the son of Malcom and Velma (Cowan) Burton. He married Norma (Monday) Burton on July 1, 1967 and she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Curt (Debby) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana and Bryant (Brenda) Burton of Franklin, Indiana, grandchildren, Dustin (Carleigh) Burton of Columbus, Indiana, Devin (Olivia) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, Corbin Burton of Franklin, Indiana, and Abby Burton of Franklin, Indiana, great-grandchildren, Ruby Lee Burton of Columbus, Indiana and Dawson Lee Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, siblings, Linda Kay (Ronnie) Estes of Edinburgh, Indiana, Malcom "Shorty" (Vicki) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Jeanett (Wallace) Adams of Peoga, Indiana, uncles, Dick Cowan of Edinburgh, Indiana and Cliff Cowan of Edinburgh, Indiana, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerald Burton. Darrell was a proud member and former trustee of the Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. He retired from the Town of Edinburgh as the Electric Superintendent after 45 years of service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to, Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church,905 S.
