Adair schools are in - virtually - tutors available to help

By Linda Waggener

With the Thanksgiving holiday over and Coronavirus cases continuing to spike, Adair schools begin again today over the Internet and will be all virtual through the end of December, 2020.

Superintendent Pamela Stephens is encouraging parents to get involved and help assure homework is done and turned in on time - one of the hardest challenges for both students and teachers.

Tutors are available from the schools. And if Columbia Magazine can help to make connections, feel free to call 270-403-0017 and leave a message that you’d like to be connected with tutorial help for your students. We'll help find answers.

During the 2020 Pandemic, I have become a Virtual Grandparent, certified by my youngest grandchildren. We read books together, discuss how to make things work, puzzle everything from homework to toys and games in our FaceTime visits. It would be an honor to help find answers to children's questions and help us all bridge from old school to the new universe we're in because of Coronavirus life changes.
