Brian Keith Powers, 55, Liberty, KY (1965-2020) Brian Keith Powers of Liberty passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, at his residence. He was 55 years old. Funeral services will be held privately at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, with Bro. Loren Pennington officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Casey County Honor Guard. Born March 10, 1965, in Liberty, KY, he was the son of Lunita Davis Powers and the late Jesse Leon Powers. Brian was a military police officer while he served in the United States Army from 1983-1986. He worked for Amazon. He enjoyed music, hunting, motorcycles, a good fish fry with friends, and a competitive game. He was a devoted son caring for his mother and was very proud of his children. Survivors include his son, Jesse Robert Powers of Texas; daughter, Ashley Powers (and Travis) Durr of South Carolina; step-son, Brandon Thomas (and Ashley) Jeffords of Florida; mother, Lunita Davis Powers of Liberty; sisters, Deborah (and Kenny) Melear of Lexington, Damita Blue of Nicholasville, Alma (and Vance) Leigh of Liberty, and Jessalyn (and Chris) Clark of Nicholasville; and two grandchildren, Brody and Mason Durr.
