Edward N. Roberts, 83, World War II veteran Edward N. Roberts, 83, a veteran of World War II and a resident of 384 Sulphur Creek Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at 3:00 p.m., at Fair Oaks Health Systems in Jamestown, KY, after an illness. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 30, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at New Hope Separate Baptist Church, with Bro. Hershey Giles and Bro. David Coffey officiating. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2004, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. He was a member of New Hope Separate Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, and member of Columbia Masonic Lodge #96.He was the son of the late Acel and Laura Barrett Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Edith Boone Roberts, Columbia, KY, and the following:
