Candidate for Judge visits Adair County The Bank of Columbia hosted Judge Mike Henry's recent visit to Adair County. Henry is a candidate for the Kentucky Court of Appeals, third district, hoping to be elected to the position vacated at the recent retirement of Judge Tom Emberton from Metcalfe County. Judge Henry has a distinguished background in Kentucky law. He has served as Assistant Commonwealth Attorney, was staff attorney for the Kentucky Court of Appeals and served as a law clerk for the Kentucky Supreme Court. He and his wife of 20 years, Julie, have two children; Lauren, a sophomore at UK and Christopher, a freshman at Somerset High School. As Robert Flowers introduced him in Columbia, he said that Judge Henry has several strong ties to Adair County including Dr. Steve Webb in Florida and Dale Goodin, also a noted physician, in Versailles; as well as the Judge's campaign manager Bill Neikirk who has many friends here from his work with Production Credit Association some years ago. Flowers said that Judge Henry has an "excellent record of fairness and impartiality and that he is proud to help folks get to know him better." Counties in the district include: Adair, Casey, Bell, Clinton, Cumberland, Clay, Estill, Garrard, Green, Jackson, Knox, Laurel, Lee, Leslie, Lincoln, Marion, McCreary, Metcalfe, Monroe, Pulaski, Nelson, Rockcastle, Russell, Taylor, Wayne, Washington and Whitley. Judge Henry can be reached via e-mail at: mike@votehenry.com This story was posted on 2004-10-26 23:38:40
