James B. Burris, Sr, 73, Adair County, KY (1947-2020) James B. Burris, Sr., 73, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 8:25 P.M. at Summit Manor Nursing Home. He was born August 22, 1947, in Franklin, Kentucky, a US Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era, a member of Columbia Masonic Lodge 96, a former businessman in Columbia and employed by Fruit of the Loom. His father, David E. "BigBoy" Burris, and his mother, Marlene Jane Sneed Finney, preceded him in death. Survivors Include: One Daughter - Stephanie Phillips & her husband Steve "Toe Joe" of Columbia One Son - Jimmy Burris of Crestwood, KY Two Sisters - Joyce Reliford & Teresa Schneider both of Columbia Four Grandchildren - Preston & Caitlin Loy, Erin & Trevor Burris Several other relatives & friends Masonic Funeral Rites will be conducted Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 1pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Antioch Cemetery with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097. Visitation after 10amCT Tuesday at the funeral home All attendees to the visitation and/or service are required to wear a facial covering and follow healthy at work guidelines.
