Jesse Leslie Bernard, 62, Jamestown, KY (1958-2020)

Jesse Leslie Bernard of Jamestown passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Russell County Hospital. He was 62 years old.

The funeral service for Jesse Leslie Bernard will be held at 1pmCT on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bodie Emerson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lucenda Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11amCT on Wednesday until the funeral time at 1pmCT at the funeral home.



He was born October 4, 1958 in Campbellsville to David Russell & Martha Ann Burton Bernard. He was an employee of Superior Battery in Russell Springs.

Survivors include:
  • His wife, Shannon Carol (Mann) Bernard, Jamestown
  • 3 Children: Jesse Leslie Bernard II, Georgia, Stacy Lynn York, Indiana, and Tiffany Ann Antle, Jamestown
  • 3 Stepchildren
  • 5 Grandchildren: Harper & Davis Bernard, Georgia, Jackson York, Indiana, Cooper & Corbyn, Jamestown
  • Parents: David & Martha Bernard, Jamestown
  • Sister: June Blankenship, Paintsville, Ky
  • 3 Brothers: Paul Bernard, Illinois, Michael Bernard, Washington DC, and Jeffery Bernard, Jamestown
  • A host of loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives
The family requests contributions to the Jesse Bernard Memorial Fund.
