Benny Read, 82, Campbellsville, KY (1939-2020)

Benny Read of Campbellsville passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 in Greensburg. He was 81 years old.

A graveside service was held at 2pmET on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Elk Horn Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Earl West.

Benny Read of Campbellsville, son the late Joseph Bentley "Joe" Read and Nora Crews Read, was born October 12, 1939 in Taylor County, Ky.

Benny enjoyed farming in his younger years and was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by two brothers and five sisters: John Read and wife, Sharon, Larry Read, Deloris Jeffries, Edna Read, Josie Osborne, Evalene Read, and Linda Smith.

Benny was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Robert Read, William "Zeke" Sapp, Lee Read, Rosaline Read, Catherine Read, and Norma Jean Read.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to funeral expenses and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
