Shirley Jean Simpson Blackwood, 74, Green Co. native (1946-2020) Shirley Jean Simpson Blackwood passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home in Crocker, Missouri. She was 74 years old. Services will be held privately. Mrs. Shirley Jean Simpson Blackwood was born February 12, 1946 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Cecil (Teetle) and Alline Milby Simpson. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Goodwill Church. She was a Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter: Laura Lee Blackwood; one brother Charlie Simpson; one nephew: Ken Simpson; one niece: Angie Heath; two brothers-in-law: Steve "Butch" Jewell and Doyle Bishop; two special dogs: Scooby-doo and Buddy. She is survived by her husband: Orville Lee Blackwood; one son and daughter-in-law: Scotty and Virginia Blackwood of Crocker, Missouri, one brother and sister-in-law: Winfred and Glenda Simpson; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Willow Dean Jewell, Elaine Bishop, and Mitzi and Randall Heath; one sister-in-law: Elaine Simpson; one aunt Eugenia Simpson all of Greensburg and several nieces, nephews, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
